In 2021, our team, which includes two couples—Erica and Rob, along with Annik and Eric—began considering the purchase of Smokey Hollow Resort. Captivated by the unexpected beauty of the property, we envisioned not only welcoming guests to enjoy their stays here but also our families relaxing by the pool and enjoying bonfires. A few months later, we took ownership and have strived ever since to build on the vision and legacy of the previous owners, who had poured their hearts into making this place special.

 

Since taking ownership, we've tackled a long list of projects, aiming to modernize the business and enhance the guest experience but also wanting to continue with the charm that Smokey Hollow is known for. Some of our projects included installing air conditioning in all rooms, refreshing the rooms, enhancing our pool area (hello new pool heater!), building a sauna, and creating a cozy fire pit area. One of our favorite projects was relocating and restoring a historic cabin from Clear Lake onto the Smokey Hollow property, where now all guests can enjoy its charm and history. We're proud of what we've achieved so far and have many more plans for the future of Smokey Hollow Resort.
